The public secret type is used to store the public key of an asymmetric keypair. For example, a public secret can be used to store the public key of an RSA keypair. Currently, there is only one file format accepted for public secrets: A DER-encoded SubjectPublicKeyInfo structure as defined by X.509 RFC 5280 that has been Base64 encoded with a PEM header and footer. For good form, we should add a Content-Type header to the response. Since the content which is provided is translated as an input stream into raw bytes, the best Content-Type to use here is probably application/octet-stream.
